This is Dessie, he will run for hours, loves water and is the most loving intelligent boy. We love him very much.

Hi, you don't say much about your Dessie. He looks gorgeous, but what does he like to do? What's his personality like?

He looks to be very gentle. I know cockers like to be handled gently and sometimes if they're not, they can be aggressive.

I'm thinking of getting a golden cocker spaniel and I'm trying to find out what they are really like. That is why I'm on this website. I've heard that they can be aggressive but from what I've read it looks like these problems occur when the dogs haven't been raised or trained properly.

I want to be really prepared for my puppy when I eventually get one. I don't want an aggressive dog so I will train him (or her) very well.

I hope I can find a puppy just like Dessie.

Your Dessie is so lovely and has such intelligent looking eyes.

My Darcy was very much like Dessie. In fact people often used to think he was a female spaniel! He used to like playing ball in the park and he was a sucker for hide and seek in the yard.

We used to take him to the beach so that he could run in the sea and take a little swim. I didn't let him go in too far as I was always afraid he'd swim out to the sunset! Ha Ha!
