Why Is My Cocker Spaniel Disobedient?

by Kim
(Texas)

My 6 month old female cocker spaniel have become rather disobedient lately - why is this?

And why does she smell even after a bath? She is always licking her private area, could there be a problem?

Disobedient Cocker Spaniel
by: Anonymous

Your cocker spaniel may be just trying it on. Keep up with the discipline and training and make sure she doesn't get away with any bad behaviour.

Have patience and stay on top of it. When she's good, reward her and when she misbehaves reprimand her by saying No loudly.

Let her know you don't like how she's behaving by ignoring her (no eye contact either) for a few minutes. She'll soon get the message. :)

Have you checked that she's not come into season? This may be the reason for her licking herself and for the smell.

What does the vet say?
