What do you mean I have to go to the groomers again?

by Ann Gray
(Northern Utah)

Take me home with you!!

Take me home with you!!

Take me home with you!! Dirty? Who Me?

This filthy boy is Moose. We rescued him from our local pound and believe he was about 3 years old.

Moose loved life, he was everyone's friend and a great dumpster diver! He converted me from a sworn life-long herding dog-owner to a lover of cockers.

Sadly he was killed chasing a car on Memorial day,(we never managed to unlearn that trick). We miss him terribly but still laugh at his antics.

The first picture is him in the pound and the second is how he looked after exploring a marsh.

My husband wanted to tie him to the roof for the drive home but by the time we got to the car I was as dirty as he was!

Poor Moose
by: Jenny

I'm crying while I write this. After looking at these photos of a lovely healthy, cheeky looking, Moose, I really didn't expect to read that he's been killed - how awful!

I don't think you can ever totally get over something like this - time may heal the raw wounds but your dog won't ever leave your heart.

I hope Moose has a happy time chasing cars in Rainbow Bridge where they can't hurt him!

RIP Moose
by: Karen

What a sad story - just when Moose had found his perfect home - sorry for your loss but you still have wonderful memeories of Moose.

RIP and run free at Rainbow Bridge!

Very Sad
by: Anonymous

Me too! I cried when I read about Moose. It's heartbreaking to lose any pet, but one as beautiful and full of personality as Moose seemed to be is tragic.

Rest in peace Moose. x

That is so sad - there were tears in my eyes as I read your story. I'm so sorry for your loss! I know you'll never forget Moose, but I hope you get over your loss soon.
