Understanding Cocker Spaniels

Buddy and Lottie

Can you recommend a book that covers all Cockers?

I have two working cockers - aged 1 year and the other 7 months. Buddy, the older one, looks very like an English springer from photos I have seen, although I have never seen one up close.

Lottie looks just like all the black working cockers in the photos.

I saw Buddy's mum, but not his dad, and to be honest I was too excited to care. The breeder told me his dad was small for the breed and that the mum was of average size. Buddy is large and weighs about 16 kilos but he is all muscle.

I have his papers but of course they could say anything!

Books On Cockers
by: Anonymous

I'm not sure I understand what you mean but I think you're asking for books that cover working cockers, (field cockers), show cockers and american cockers.

If that's not what you mean, do you mean all spaniels, for example, springers, water spaniels, etc.?

Either way, you can find some great books on the internet and on Amazon.

Happy hunting!
