Moreish Molasses and Peanut Butter Dog Treat

"Your Cocker Spaniel Will Love These Homemade Dog Biscuits!"

Most dogs will do anything for a peanut butter dog treat, in which case they'll love our molasses and peanut butter dog biscuit recipe!

There are no artificial flavourings or colourings; nothing but healthy goodness and lots of flavour!

When baking these homemade dog biscuits don't forget to use natural or organic peanut butter, without excess salt or sugar, to keep your dog healthy.

Molasses And Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 2 cups of oatmeal
  • 1/2-3/4 cup of chunky peanut butter
  • 2-1/2 cups of hot water
  • 2 tablespoons of molasses

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C/Gas Mark 4.
  • Combine all your ingredients together. If you feel the dough is too stiff and sticky, try adding a tablespoon of hot water at a time until you have the right consistency.
  • Knead the dough well before rolling out onto a dusted board until your dough is approximately 1/4 inch thick.
  • Using your doggie shaped cutters (ordinary ones will do) cut out the desired shapes from the rolled dough.
  • Place your biscuits on a non-stick baking tray, place the tray in the oven and cook for 35 to 40 minutes.
  • Turn off the heat and let the biscuits cool in the oven overnight to harden.
