Peanut Butter Dog Biscuit Recipes

"Why not bake some of these delicious peanut butter bites for your Cocker Spaniel - he'll love you for it!"

Your Cocker Spaniel will love our peanut butter dog biscuit recipes - these home made dog treats are easy to make and so tasty - they're just bursting with goodness and flavour!

Healthy Whole Wheat Peanut Butter Bites

Ingredients:

  • 1-1/2 cups of whole wheat flour
  • 1-1/2 cups of white flour
  • 1/2 cup of natural peanut butter (preferably without added salt and sugar)
  • 1 of cup water
  • 2 tablespoons of vegetable or olive oil

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F/180 degrees C/Gas Mark 4.
  • Mix the peanut butter, oil and water to a smooth paste. If you're mixing by hand, it may help to mix the oil to the peanut butter first before slowly adding the water.
  • Add both flours, a little at a time, to make a stiff dough and then knead.
  • Shape into a ball and roll flat to about 1/4 inch thickness.
  • Using a biscuit cutter, cut out your biscuit shapes (you can buy dog biscuit shaped cutters online). If you don't have any cutters, simply use a knife to cut into doggie size bites!
  • Place the dog biscuits onto an ungreased baking tray and bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

This recipe should make around 25 peanut butter dog biscuits depending upon size and shape of cutter. The above homemade dog treats are so tasty they won't be around for very long! However, while they are around, they'll keep in an airtight container for around 5-8 days.

They'll keep even longer (about 2 weeks) if kept in the refrigerator and can even be frozen.
