Our new puppy has a white round mass between his claws!

by Hilary
(Rhyl)

My new puppy has a white round thing between his last claw and the next? Any ideas please?

Comment from Pauline (Webowner)

Hi Hillary, You need to give our visitors a bit more information, perhaps a photograph too, before they can have any chance of helping you by answering your question.

For example, how big is the lump? Is it soft and squishy, is it filled with liquid or is it solid?

Is it a lump of fur?

In any case, you should probably let your breeder and your vet take a look at it.

Spaniel Paws
by: steve

We have had several springers and recently got a cocker (scooby). Their paws need a lot of attention if they aren't working dogs, as fur build up can cause problems, but your pup's problem doesn't ring any bells, spaniels do have a type of "webbed toe" though so seek some vet's advise.

Good luck!
