Jogging Partner?

We are in the market to adopt a new dog and my 16-yr-old daughter would like a jogging partner. I grew up with a Springer Spaniel and currently have an elderly black Lab, but I've never owned a Cocker before.

The temperment is appealing, but I'm wondering if a Cocker Spaniel would be up for a 1-3 mile run at a slow to moderate jogging pace?

Would it be too much for this type of dog?

I know it would like running in a field or woods, but am not sure of its endurance ability.

Anybody have any comments?

Cocker Spaniels Make Great Jogging Partners!
by: Janey

Cocker spaniels enjoy lots of exercise and will certainly keep up with you.

My cocker runs with me twice each day for an hour each time and he always seems to want more.

They love to be running with their 'pack' - I don't think you'll have any problem.
