Growth In Ear

by Kathy
(Pawtucket, RI)

My cocker spaniel is 4 months old and has a growth in his ear. It first looked like a pimple, then grew bigger.

The vet said that this is common but should go away within a month.

Now it is starting to turn black...has anybody heard of this before?

Lump On My Cocker's Ear
by: Anonymous

My cocker has the same thing on the inside of one of his ears. It doesn't seem to be bothering him and it's not getting any bigger, nor is it red or inflamed.

What did the vet say the spot on your dog's ear was called? Did he give it a name?

And what has happened to it; has it gone away or did it get worse.

I would like to know more about this to help me decide whether or not to take my cocker to the vet - they're so expensive and I can't afford the fees just now - especially if there's no real need!
