Gourmet Dog Biscuits With Liver
Ingredients:
- 12-16 ounces of raw liver
- 1 1/2 pounds of white flour
- 8 ounces of Quaker Oats
- 3 stock cubes (chicken, lamb or beef flavoured)
- 1 cup water
- 2 lightly beaten eggs
Instructions for gourmet dog biscuit recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 350 F/180 C/Gas Mark 4.
- Using a sharp knife (or a food processor) chop the liver into very small pieces.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour and oats, eggs, and chopped liver.
- Crumble the stock cubes into the mixture. If they don't crumble well, dissolve them in the water from the recipe.
- Add sufficient water to make a firm dough. If the dough is too sticky, sprinkle a little flour over the dough.
- Roll out onto a lightly floured worktop or board to a thickness of 1/4 inch or 1/2 inch - depending upon how thick you want the biscuits to be.
- Using your favourite doggie cutter, cut out the shapes and place onto a non-stick backing sheet (you'll probably need more than one) and place in the oven for between 45 and 60 minutes.

- 3 cups of whole wheat flour
- 3 cups of white flour
- 2 cups of cracked wheat or oatmeal
- 1 cup of cornmeal
- 1/2 cup of powdered milk
- 3 cups of beef or chicken stock
- 1 tablespoon of garlic powder (optional)
- 1 tablespoon of brewer's yeast
- 2 tablespoons of milk for brushing the biscuits
Instructions for gourmet dog biscuit recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 350 F/180 C/Gas Mark 4.
- In a large bowl, combine the flour, cracked wheat or oatmeal, milk powder, garlic powder, brewer's yeast and mix thoroughly.
- Pour in 2 cups of the stock and mix well.
- Gradually add the remaining stock until your mixture resembles a stiff dough.
- Knead the dough for 3 minutes.
- Roll the dough out onto a lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thickness.

- Brush the biscuits with milk, place in the oven and cook for 25-30 minutes.
- Allow the biscuits to cool on a large wire rack.

Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup of powdered milk
- 1 lightly beaten egg
- 2 1/2 cups of flour
- 1/2 teaspoon of garlic salt or garlic powder, or 1 small, crushed, garlic clove
- 1 1/2 teaspoons of brown sugar
- 1/2 cup of water
- 6 tablespoons of gravy or stock
- 1 Jar of meat-based baby food
Instructions for gourmet dog biscuit recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 350 F/180 C/Gas Mark 4
- In a large mixing bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly.
- Roll the dough out onto a lightly floured board to 1/4 or 1/2 inch thick, depending upon the desired thickness of biscuit.
- Use either a cookie cutter or knife to cut out shapes and then place them onto a non-stick baking tray.
- Bake in the oven for 25-30 minutes.

Ingredients:
- 3 1/2 cups of flour
- 2 cups of whole wheat flour
- 1 cup of rye flour
- 2 cups of cornmeal
- 2 cups of cracked wheat
- 1/2 cup of low-fat powdered milk
- 2 teaspoons of salt
- 1 packet of dry yeast
- 1 pint of warmed chicken stock
- 1 lightly beaten egg
- 1 tablespoon of milk
Instructions for gourmet dog biscuit recipe:
- Preheat the oven to 300 F/150 C/Gas Mark 2.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flours, cornmeal, cracked wheat, salt and powdered milk.
- Pour the warm chicken stock into the bowl and then add the yeast.
- Mix all ingredients thoroughly until you have a stiff dough.
- Knead the dough for 3 minutes.
- Turn out onto a lightly floured board and roll to a thickness of 1/4 inch.
- Using a biscuit cutter, cut out the desired shapes.
- Place the biscuit shapes onto a non-stick baking sheet.
- Add the milk to the beaten egg and brush onto each biscuit.
- Bake in the oven for 45 minutes.
- Turn off the heat and leave the biscuits in the oven overnight to harden.
