Can You Have Two Bitches Living Together?

by Ali
(Surrey)

I am thinking of getting a friend for my two-year old female cocker. I was wondering if you could have two bitches living together?

Bitches Together
by: Sally

Yes!

We've had 2 cocker spaniel bitches living together for years and had no problems.

Occasionally Jessie will try it on with Tikka and try for the alpha role but Jessie will have none of it.

If there is an alpha status problem, we let them sort it out between themselves - and they usually do!

We've had both our bitches spayed so we can't comment on what happens when they come into season or if they do at the same time.
