Alfie's Story
by Carol Cameron
(Inverclyde)
We bought a male cocker spaniel from a farm in Kilmarnock. I was informed by the lady that he was on antbiotics for a cough but it was away.
For 6 weeks after taking him home we were at the vet 3 times as the cough would not shift.
We then noticed he had trouble getting up from a siting position.
We took him back to the vet where he went through all sorts of tests and we were told he has severe hip displasia.
We are gutted as we love him so much - all we can do now is to try and make him happy.
I would love to find out if any of the rest of the litter has the same problem.
He was born on 15 November 2010 and he came from Dalwhinnie Farm in Kilmarnock.
