Aggressive Cocker Spaniel!

I have a cross between a cocker spaniel and springer spaniel. For some strange reason, he's become very possessive of my shoes - he guards them and won't let anyone near him.

He growls and snarls if you go near him and he has bitten me once before. I don't know why it's always my shoes and never anyone else's.

He growls so much that I think he will try and go for me. I'm actually at the point now where I'm scared of him and I don't know what to do.

Can anyone please help?

Hmm...

I guess he's right - I agree with him.

Lure your cocker spaniel by giving him a meal placing it from a place where he wouldn't be able to see you getting your shoes, then get you shoes and place it on a high place where you're the only one who can get it.

Hide Your Shoes?
by: Anonymous

A cocker springer cross eh? They're both mad in their own right, but a mixture of the two? :)

Seriously though, why not hide your shoes from him. That way he can't get at them.
