Advice On Buying Another Dog

I have an 8-month old cocker spaniel. She's brilliant and very well behaved. We're thinking about buying another dog, is this a good idea?

We want another cocker spaniel or maybe a border terrier.

Would they get on?

Another Cocker!
by: Jason

I'd get another cocker spaniel - you can't go wrong with cockers! However, I agree with other comment, I'd wait until your dog is around 1 year old before getting another.

I know that dogs learn from each other, but no matter how well-trained your cocker spaniel is, it may not be enough to stop both of your dog's misbehaving together like two naughty boys!

Whatever you decide, enjoy!

Buying Another Dog
by: Anonymous

It all depends on the personality of your dog and the new dog you bring into your family.

At eight months your dog is not really an adult yet and it may cause you problems. If I were you, I'd wait until your dog is at least 13 months or so.
