Why Not Get Another Cocker?
by: Andrey

I'd go for another cocker spaniel - I don't understand why you wouldn't want to stick with the same breed. :)

Whatever you decide, enjoy your dogs!

Personally, I'd go for a Sznauzer - they're fab!

What about a labrador or a retriever?

These dog breeds are very friendly but can sometimes be a little boistorous. You may have to consider a puppy so that it will grow up around your cocker spaniel - that might work.

Alternatively, what about a miniature Sznauzer?

Companion For Your Cocker Spaniel
by: Dan

Why do you feel the need for a companion for your cocker spaniel? Is he left home all day or do you simply want another dog?

Any kind of dog could make a good companion for your cocker - so long as it's not an overpowering or boisterous breed. Cockers are very friendly little dogs and fare well with most breeds.

Before you get another dog it may be a good idea to put the two together to see how they react to each other. If all goes well, then it's a likely indication that they'll be good together.

If you want another dog for you, then you should choose a breed that you like.

What about another cocker spaniel?

Cocker Companion

What about another Cocker Spaniel? I have three cockers and they all get on very well - two bitches and one male.

Unfortunately for Archie, the two bitches seem to dominate his life but he's ok with that.

Archie is older than both Emma and Bella. He's very protective of them when necessary, but they truely rule the roost.

I don't think I could imagine having anthing other than cocker spaniels.
